| The goal of training is to enable teachers to successfully instruct every student, especially the "don't-explain-it-to-me" math intervention learners, to understand, remember, and apply basic math concepts and skills in the standards-based classroom. CNR breaks down math concepts and skills into incrementally and logically sequenced steps that are fully intuitive and easy to learn. Built into the pedagogy is also the ability to assess student strengths and weaknesses at each step of the learning process. Training supports teachers and administrators in classroom application. |
|
| To enable the successful integration of CNR math intervention stragegies, we highly recommend our basic training program. It includes a two-day initial training covering strategies, ideas and hands-on experience, a one-day follow-up to review and refine strategies, and administrative support. |
| Training includes: |
- thinking through effective classroom strategies based on CNR math intervention pedagogical ideas and practices
- hands-on exploration of CNR materials
- observing demonstration lessons
- classroom practice and coaching with colleagues
- teacher and administrative checklists to support ongoing success
|
The cost of the Basic Training Program is $1500 plus travel and expenses.
Training is most effective when teachers have pre-purchased classroom materials; training sample packets are alternatively available for $5 each. |
